2026 Cadillac VISTIQ vs. Kia EV9 Comparison with Price, Specs, & Photos

Cadillac has emerged as a leader in the EV market, not only offering superior vehicles but also as one of the few brands to offer a three-row EV, and the only one to offer two of them. The VISTIQ is the three-row Cadillac that competitors are taking aim at, including Kia in the form of the EV9. Kia doesn’t normally compete with Cadillac, but the world of three-row EVs can get a little more complicated than what you might be used to seeing, and it’s worth a closer look to see how it actually stacks up.

The GT-Line trim of the EV9 is the most powerful, so we’ve chosen this trim for the comparison. Although it’s quite close to the VISTIQ in price, even this most powerful version of the EV9 comes up well short of the VISTIQ in the performance department. In fact, the VISTIQ can hit 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.7 seconds, compared to 5 seconds for the EV9 GT-Line. That’s a huge difference as far as 0-60 times go. There’s no tradeoff for that power in the VISTIQ either, since it also has more range than the EV9. That’s because the electric drivetrain in the VISTIQ is highly advanced and noticeably more efficient than the one found in the EV9.Obviously, as the top trim of the EV9, the GT-Line is also the best-equipped, but it still lacks quite a few features that come standard on the VISTIQ. This includes adaptive suspension, a 120-volt household outlet, and massaging front seats. Kia’s semi-autonomous technology hasn’t caught up with Cadillac’s either, so there is no equivalent to the Super Cruise hands-free driving mode that comes standard with the VISTIQ on the EV9. While the EV9 does have multi-zone automatic climate control and a premium stereo, the versions of both of these in the VISTIQ offer a clear advantage over those found in the Kia.

Cadillac VISTIQ Interior

Winner – Cadillac VISTIQ

The Cadillac VISTIQ is a clear leader in the EV segment, with a high level of standard equipment and a drivetrain that is clearly much more advanced than what competitors can manage. While other manufacturers need to rely on the lack of many three-row competitors to drive sales, Cadillac has built a vehicle that would easily stand out even in a much more crowded segment. It should be experienced in person in order to be fully appreciated. Germain Cadillac of Easton is standing by to help help you find the VISTIQ you’ve had your eyes on.
