Cadillac Escalade IQ

About the Cadillac Escalade IQ

The Escalade is Cadillac’s flagship, an iconic luxury SUV that you’ll find at every red carpet event in the country. With the introduction of the Escalade IQ, Cadillac has given buyers the option of an electric Escalade, complete with a drivetrain quiet enough for you to hear the awed gasps of the crowd when you arrive. With the incredible amount of power it generates, you can leave the party with the kind of urgency that wasn’t previously possible in an SUV this large. On top of the impressive performance and staggering range, everything that makes the Escalade an Escalade including a showcase of cutting-edge technology and class-leading luxury, is present in this all-electric version. The 800-volt architecture is the most advanced on the market and allows for incredibly fast charging.

What the Critics Say

“Owners will appreciate the huge range and quick charging such big, fat batteries allow. The IQ is quiet, well mannered, strikingly handsome, and great to road-trip (we haven’t even mentioned the class-leading and MT Best Tech–winning Super Cruise hands-free driving, which is standard). It’s also quick when you need it and more practical than your average full-size SUV, and taken together, we believe Cadillac has a bonafide hit on its hands.” – MotorTrend

“But Cadillac is playing it smart: Offering the two Escalades side by side while the EV market continues to sort itself out makes perfect sense. More customers will likely get on board with IQ as time goes on, giving the brand a win-win situation.” – Edmunds

What’s New For 2026

After an exciting debut last year, just one noteworthy change has been made to the dynamic Cadillac Escalade IQ for the 2026 model year. 2026 marks the arrival of the all-new Escalade IQL – an extended wheelbase variant that offers an additional 4 inches of third-row legroom along with 1 additional inch of third-row headroom. It’s a welcome addition to the portfolio of Cadillac SUVs and will certainly draw plenty of attention from full-size luxury SUV shoppers.

Cadillac Escalade IQ Features

Cadillac Escalade IQ Drivetrain

Incredible Electric Performance

The Cadillac Escalade IQ shares a platform with the GMC Hummer EV and the Chevrolet Silverado EV, and in turn, it produces the same kind of incredible performance. For starters, the standard dual-motor AWD setup produces up to a combined 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. That makes the Escalade IQ the most powerful version in the Escalade lineup, even out-muscling the Escalade-V and its 682 horsepower. That kind of power also means that the Escalade IQ will hit 60 MPH from a dead stop in under 5 seconds, quite a feat for something this size. Speaking of size, the huge size of the Escalade IQ allows it to hold an enormous 200 kWh battery pack. Engineered to go the distance, Cadillac estimates it will achieve 465 miles in one charge, an industry-leading figure. When you need to recharge, the 800-volt architecture lets you add about 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes with DC fast charging, an astounding figure.

Cadillac Escalade IQ Interior

Luxurious Interior

The incredible electric drivetrain in the Escalade IQ is already enough to declare the vehicle a technological marvel, but it’s hardly the only reason. Cadillac puts a real focus on technology in the Escalade IQ, with a standard 55-inch pillar-to-pillar digital display that can be operated by both the driver and passenger at the same time. For more display real estate, a head-up display comes standard. Cadillac pioneered night vision in vehicles decades ago, and now an even more advanced available thermal imaging system greatly increases your visibility range beyond the reach of your headlights. The Escalade IQ comes with adaptive cruise control, but even more impressive, it also comes with Super Cruise, a hands-free cruise control system that allows the driver to sit back and relax, arriving at their destination fresh and alert. For those driven by a chauffeur, there is a rear seat entertainment system that comes with twin 12.6-inch touchscreen displays mounted to the backs of the front seats.

Cadillac Escalade IQ

Styled to Impress

There is no missing or overlooking the Escalade, which has always been a major selling point for the biggest of the Cadillac SUVs. This remains true with the introduction of the Escalade IQ. The styling for this electrified variant is distinct from the gas-powered version, but it still has at least as much presence as the conventional model. Elements of it command even more attention, such as the LED-infused grille and the 24-inch wheels which are standard on the Escalade IQ, but offered only as an optional extra on the conventional Escalade. A wide range of single-color as well as two-tone paint options are available. For individuals that plan on being chauffeured, there is the available Executive Second Row which adds rear heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, a rear command center for climate control and power-opening and -closing doors, two rear infotainment touchscreens, and a 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference Audio System with headrest speakers.
