Your favorite Cadillac EVs along with Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC EVs can hold anywhere between 6 and 24 modules within their battery packs. Whether engineers are targeting value, athleticism, efficiency, or even a mix of all three – this revolutionary platform can handle it all!
- Total system capacities range between 50 kWh and over 200 kWh, providing the range and power you need to go the distance with your EV. In fact, the GM battery platform can deliver over 400 miles of total driving range on a full charge on select models.
- Another noteworthy feature unique to the Cadillac EV battery platform is its construction. Clever design allows for stackable battery cells for greater flexibility. This compact design adds future flexibility, bolsters in-vehicle refinement, and ultimately adds additional capacity by maximizing space within the platform.
- In an effort to minimize ecological impact, engineers choose the latest Nickel Cobalt Manganese Aluminum (NCMA) battery chemistry when designing the platform. This innovative chemistry helps reduce the total content of cobalt by over 70%.
- Compared to other types of EV batteries, the Cadillac EV platform eliminates nearly 80% of the wiring contained within the battery pack. This provides a more streamlined assembly process, enhances serviceability, and creates the potential for more scalability in future models.
